Bones Season 2 Disc 3 Wrap Up
This week’s TV on DVD Season I am going through and doing wrap ups of is the six disc Bones Season 2 set. I will be posting about one disc each day until this Saturday. This is the wrap up of the third disc.

“Aliens in a Spaceship” - Bones wakes up in her car not knowing where she is or what happened. She opens the window and finds she is buried underground and Hodgins is hurt in the back seat. She says the gravedigger must have gotten them. It then flashes back to 48 hours earlier with Bones and Booth finding two teenage boys in a tank that was buried underground. The twins were buried by the gravedigger kidnapper and the ransom was not paid. The four that had their ransom paid survived and instructions were given to dig them up. The kidnapper took all the victims from underground garages. The gravedigger meant to only kidnap one kid, but ended up with two when the twin interrupted the kidnapping. With two in the container the they died in 12 hours and even if the ransom had been paid they would have been dead before they got them. Then there is a quick scene of Bones being stunned in the parking garage and Hodgins seeing her and getting hit by a car, which sounds like what might have happened in the twins kidnapping case. Booth gets the ransom message from the gravedigger asking for $8 million, which is related to Hodgins being from a very wealthy family. Bones cuts into Hodgins leg to release pressure and minimize the pain. Hodgins tells Bones that he is very wealthy, as he is looking at the soil they are buried while Bones gets ready to hot wire the cell phone and send a quick message to Booth. Hodgins figures out how to make a carbon dioxide scrubber to give them more time. Booth gets annoyed at the others in the lab who are not able to figure out what the text message code about the dirt means right away. Zack finally figures out that the numbers mean elements on the periodic table. Booth and the FBI are above ground looking for where they are buried while Bones and Hodgins use the air bag to cause an explosion that creates a small explosion on the surface that Booth sees. Booth starts digging and pulls Bones out. The others then come and help and pull Hodgins out. Hodgins is afraid to sleep, but Angela tells him to come home with her so he knows when he opens his eyes he will see her.
“The Headless Witch in the Woods” - Bones and Booth go into thick woods. Bones notices a bunch of eye talismans that are believed as legend to be from a headless woman that wanders the area. The body they are there to see turns out to be decapitated. The legend is that the woman decapitated in the 1700s kills people the same way as she was killed with the same axe she was decapitated with. The other film students out with the victim that night are somewhat convinced it was the ghost and some of the lab kind of believe it in the ghost. They find the body’s skull near the 18th century ax that is suspected to kill the college student. Also, nearby a 1700s woman’s skull is found that might belong to the woman that is said to haunt the area as a ghost. Booth finds out that the script written by the dead student is being used by a current student in a film that is about to go to Sundance. Zack discovers that the other skull was taken from the university’s medical school. The brother’s blood is found on the ax. He says that the ghost made him do it.
“Judas on a Pole” - Booth pulls Bones out of the dissertation committee’s interview with Zack. The case involves a man burned on top of a hotel once used to house witnesses as a sort of warning. A note with the man’s name and a coin is found in the man’s mouth. Bones’ brother comes to see Bones to tell her that their dad called him and told him they are in danger. When Bones and Booth go to the dead man’s (former FBI agent) home they find a room with pictures of Bone’s brother all over the walls and they suspect he was getting ready to kill Bones’ brother. The man’s murder relates to a man named Marvin going to prison for murdering a FBI agent in 1978. The FBI framed Marvin and the man killed was going to snitch on the conspiracy of setting up Marvin for more than just what ended up being for murdering the agent in 1978. The wife of the agent murdered in 1978 reveals that the agent was compiling evidence in a safe deposit box that was at the bank that Bones’ parents robbed shortly after the agent was murdered. The coin points to the murderer of the man on the hotel roof was killed by Bones’ father. Bones’ father’s best friend comes to see Bones to give her the message to back off. Booth believes her dad murdered the man in order to keep her and her brother safe, as their safety was threatened by the former agent who wanted her father to give him the evidence from the safety deposit box. The Jeffersonian exhumes the body of the agent murdered in 1978 and find inconsistencies with the original autopsy and Marvin is released from prison. Booth is suspended for helping the conspiracy come out. Bones’ brother gets a gun shot injury while meeting with Booth at a restaurant. A pool of blood is found in Bones apartment and it is suspected her brother is dead, which they find shortly after finding out that the deputy director of the FBI that just suspended Booth was the sniper that killed the agent in 1978. The blood pool cannot be her brother because it is the wrong blood type. Bones goes to see her father’s best friend alone while Booth learns that he is impersonating a priest that is 90 and has Alzheimer’s. It turns out that the man is actually her father. He gives Bones the evidence from the safety deposit box. Bones tries to stop him from getting away as Booth shows up, but he handcuffs her to a bench. Booth could have stopped him getting away with her brother, but does not. Zack gets his doctorate and Angela cleans him up to be presentable as an expert witness and gets hired as an employee at the lab. Booth gets reinstated with the evidence her dad turned over. The sniper is found burned like the other man from the beginning of the episode.
“The Man in the Cell” - Bodies are found in prison after a fire. It is expected to be Epps (i.e. the serial killer from two other episodes). The body is not Epps, though, as the broken wrist is fresh and not healed from Bones breaking it. The body is instead of a firefighter, who Epps killed when he responded to the fire and then used the fireman’s uniform to escape from the prison. Booth is worried about Bones safety along with Epps wife that married him while in prison and has now divorced him. Epps calls Bones. Booth traces the call and at the phone booth they find a vial with bone. Angela receives a package with a heart in it. Booth and Bones finds Epps’ wife’s head in the fridge of her apartment. A token from the park Booth’s son goes to every afternoon is found in the ear of the wife. They find Parker had talked to Epps and got a napkin with a message. When Cam saws into the wife’s skull a powdered toxin is released that she inhales and leaves her in a near death state. Epps calls again and tells them they need to find the body to figure out the poison. The poison is on a pressure trigger on the body and Zack is in danger. Booth saves him from being blown up in the explosion, but they have the news report Zack died and Booth was in critical condition. They identify the poison and Cam is saved. Epps is in Bones apartment and Booth and Bones have him at gunpoint. He escapes over the balcony and falls to his death when Booth cannot pull him back up.
