Barney: Sharing Is Caring! - This is the latest Barney release. It says All New DVD, but I am not sure if it means it has not aired on television or not.

The Batman vs. Dracula/The Batman Superman Movie - This release features to full-length movies, The Batman vs. Dracula and The Batman Superman Movie.

Johnny Test: Johnny X and Super Pooch - This release is a one disc set of six stories (I assume this is what I think of as half-episodes).

Olivia - This is the first DVD release of Olivia, which is a show that premiered earlier this year as part of the Nick Jr. line up on Nickelodeon. It has a run time of 95 minutes, so I am guessing it only has four or five episodes of the show.

Scooby-Doo Meets Batman/Scooby-Doo Meets the Harlem Globetrotters - This release is a double feature with two Scooby Doo movies. The two movies are Scooby-Doo Meets Batman and Scooby-Doo Meets the Harlem Globetrotters.

Super Friends: The Lost Episodes - This release is a two disc set with 24 episodes. The special features include two downloadable Super Friends comics as PDFs using a DVD-ROM.

UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie: Seasons 3 & 4 (The OVA Collection) - This release is a 2 disc set of the show’s third and fourth seasons of this anime show.

Zorro: Generation Z: Volume 2 - This release features episodes 7 through 11 of Zorro: Generation Z. I am not sure why the switched from 6 episodes in the first volume to only 4 in this volume, but they do seem to be releasing a volume a month with volume one coming out last month and volume three coming out next month.

“Armed Response” - In the beginning of an episode Jessica is picked up at the airport in Texas by a lawyer and it becomes apparent she is to testify for another writer. Kids cause her to fall and hurt her foot at the airport and the lawyer wants to sue, but she thinks it was entirely just an accident. Jessica ends up staying at the hospital overnight despite the minor injury. In the evening while getting some change to use the vending machine she witnesses two doctors having a heated argument. That night a doctor turns up murdered at his house. A woman (Jenny) is taken in for questioning and Jessica believes she is innocent and she asks her lawyer to help the girl out. Jessica works with the detective on the case to see how the timing of the death proves it was not Jenny. Jenny then ends up being framed with the murder weapon found in her possession. Jessica discovers that the argument she overheard was a taped one and those two doctors were actually involved in the murder of the other doctor.

“Murder at the Oasis” - Jessica visits friends to see a tennis tournament. The father starts a fight when his daughter tries to hang out with a tennis player he thinks is a bum. The father is then found murdered. The city does not have a homicide division and is asked to help to help the Sargent with the case. The home is very well guarded, so it seems that the murderer is probably on the grounds (family or workers). The bodyguard thinks that the man’s son (Mickey) killed his father. Jessica suspects that it could have been a mob killing. The man (Vick) that was with the man’s daughter (Shannon) is arrested seeming to escape to Mexico. He says it was Shannon and Jessica suspects that it was not Vick. Jessica realizes the Sargent knew about a picture that Shannon removed before the police arrived and that he was the murderer.

“Funeral at Fifty-Mile” - The episode begins with Jessica attending a funeral. It turns out that there is no will and the daughter is to inherit everything. The man’s brother says that the deal was to be that he would buy the man’s land and make the daughter comfortable financially. A man shows up with the last will and testament of the man and it ruins the plans of both the daughter and brother. Supposedly the man (Carl) served in the war with the dead man, but it turns out that he does not seem to know the commanding officer’s name was Fletcher (Jessica’s deceased husband). The next morning Carl is found hung in the barn. The Marshal has never dealt with a murder and Jessica offers some friendly advice to help lead them in the right direction. Three of the ladies (including Jessica) at the ranch do not exactly have an alibi because they were sleeping and a man named Art (the daughter’s husband). The Marshal thinks that none of the woman could have done it due to not be strong enough, although Jessica is not so sure. Jessica thinks it is Carl’s wife because now she will inherit the whole property. The Marshal finally agrees that Carl’s wife could have done it because she is good at arm wrestling. Jessica finds a hangman’s noose outside her window that evening as a warning from the murderer. It turns out that she was never married to Carl and no longer can be seen to have a motive. It turns their is a big secret being kept from the daughter and Carl knew it and why he ended up getting the farm. It turns out Carl raped the dead man and is the father of the daughter and it was the dead man that kept his four friends from lynching Carl. The four now without the man to stop they killed Carl.

“Tough Guys Don’t Die” - A detective is found dead shortly after talking to Jessica on the phone about an old case. Another detective, Harry McGraw, is found snooping around Jessica’s. Jessica believes the case she had the detective look into might have gotten him killed and Jessica wants to find out what the lead was. The case Jessica is looking into is about a murder trial about a physician getting off on a murder charge. It turns out that a judge knows about the real murderer in the case he originally was a defense lawyer for the physician. The real murderer was the judge’s friend that saved the judge during when they served together during war. Now that they know the the result of that case Jessica begins to look into the case of who killed the detective. Jessica discovers it is another detective that did it with the main evidence being a key chain sound on a tape the detective was making when he died.

“Sudden Death” - Jessica inherits part of a football team when her uncle dies. People are trying to buy her 4%, as it changes the balance of power from one man that wants to move the team to the group that wants to keep the team in town. The man that owns 48% of the team is found drowned at the football stadium. The watch that belongs to a man with a deaf girl that Jessica had made friends with is found with the body, but Jessica does not believe it could have been her. Jessica talks with the accused man and he says the watch was stolen from his locker. Someone tries to kill Jessica by locking her in the sauna room. Jessica discovers that the man was murdered at his own home and then moved to the stadium, which opens up the suspect pool to those at the party that evening. Jessica discovers who it was by looking at photos from the evening and noticing that one man changed his blazer because he got it wet drowning the owner.

“Footnote to Murder” - Jessica attends a writers award ceremony with a poet friend. When Jessica goes to return an umbrella that she accidentally took from the cocktail party that belonged to another author. That author is found dead in his hotel room and his manuscript is missing. The poet is suspected of killing the author because he cannot remember what he was doing that night and his umbrella was the murder weapon. To clear he poet friend Jessica investigates the murder. She talks to the author’s wife, who was overheard having a fight over money with the author. Jessica tracks down a man that wrote threatening notes to the author and discovers the supposed manuscript might have been written by that man. The police arrest this man and find the novel manuscript with him and he confesses to the murder. Jessica is not sure that the man really did kill the author. It turns out that the man’s sister killed the author because the author stole her brother’s manuscript. The incident was an accident and sort of self defense.

“Murder Takes the Bus” - Jessica and the Sheriff Amos Tupper are on their way to Portland on a bus. It rains and the bus has engine trouble and they end up at a little cafe. When Jessica goes back to get her book she finds one of the passengers murdered and the murderer must be one of those stuck at the cafe (i.e. everyone from the bus and the cafe owner). Cut off from others because the phone lines are down Amos starts the investigation starting with finding out about the passengers. The murdered man was recently released from prison for killing a co-robber during a robbery and the son of the man he killed was also a passenger on the bus. It turns out the driver’s daughter was killed in the robbery. The driver admits to putting the screwdriver through the ex-prisoner’s neck, but Jessica realizes the man was already dead when the screwdriver was put in his neck. Thus it seems he was not murdered by the driver. The supposed captain ends up hurting one of the passengers with his own gun while trying to keep him from contacting help via radio. The dead passenger’s book is missing and it seems it was taken because it leads to the stolen money, but it was taken by a librarian because it was worth a lot of money and not because it did turn out to have the key to the hidden money.

“Broadway Malady” - Jessica goes to New York for a meeting with her publisher. Grady, her nephew, is working as an accountant for a Broadway production and wants her to come visit the set during rehearsals. In New York Grady takes Jessica to the female star’s house for a dinner get together. The co-star (the star’s daughter) is shot in an apparent mugging and her brother with her shoots and kills the bum that tried to mug them. The woman ends up in critical condition at the hospital. The situation seems fishy to Jessica and she thinks it was not a mugging, but a murder attempt from the start made to look like a mugging. Jessica tracks down a man that witnessed the mugging and noticed it was an amateur mugging. Jessica ends up recognizing the mugger in an old movie. The screenwriter quickly brings in his choice to take the place of the woman still in the hospital. The mother/star begins to suspect that the writer has been trying to replace her daughter since the beginning. Jessica begins to suspect that the mother is in danger and finds her passed out from gas poisoning. In the hospital now the mother is in critical condition while the daughter is recovering. She later dies and Jessica goes back to the house with the son. Jessica realizes he killed his mother and tried to kill his sister to inherit all the money, but after she survived he settled for getting half by still going through with the plan to kill his mother. After he confesses his mother comes in the room and reveals she survived and that it was a set up to get him to confess because she did not believe it was him at first.

“Murder to a Jazz Beat” - Jessica goes to New Orleans for a television interview for New Orleans Today. She ends up there two days early. She is introduced to a jazz musician who is about to move up to Las Vegas performances and some of those working for him are disappointed about being left behind. The musician collapses and dies while playing his clarinet in a final New Orleans performance. Jessica thinks it is a quick acting poison. The think the poison is in his coffee cup at first, but reviewing the tape they find that he was not the only one that drank from that cup. Thus the poison must have been somewhere else. They think the poison was put on the clarinet reed. When the reed is tested no poison is found on it. Jessica goes to the cemetery and finds out that the reed was not the original one. The coffee cup was taken to make it seem like the wife did it. His best friend is the one that changed the reed. He was afraid the musician would follow through and kill his wife, so he killed his best friend to save her, who he loved.

“My Johnny Lies Over the Ocean” - Jessica goes on a two week cruise with her niece, Pam, who needs a break after her husband committed suicide. On the trip Pam gets an odd note with Champagne saying the nickname her husband used to call her. Then at the restaurant the special in Pam’s menu says something that she made up and the waiter then says that is not on the menu and is wrong (i.e. only in Pam’s menu). Alone on deck at night Pam gets pushed and ends up with a head wound. Jessica suspects that someone might be trying to kill Pam. Jessica has her brother (a surgeon back home and Pam’s father) look into Pam’s husband’s biological mother, as her husband was adopted and was only once contacted by the mother and he never followed it up. Jessica thinks the person causing trouble for Pam is the husband’s deranged biological mother. She gets a telegram saying Til death do us part signed Johnny and she faints. A woman is found dead in her room supposedly from downing a bottle of barbituates. Photos of Pam’s husband and other things related to Pam’s husband are found with the dead woman. Jessica suspects that the woman was murdered by her husband. Jessica gets him to confess after revealing that his wife had not photography skill as he claimed she did because his wife took a picture of Jessica and Pam on the dock before they left port and it was not that great. The husband set it all up in a plot to try to get his wife’s money and make it seem like she committed suicide.

“Paint Me a Murder” - A painter is celebrating his 60th birthday with several of his friends invited to his island villa including Jessica. The night before Jessica arrives the painter is almost injured or killed when vase comes close to falling on him. Shortly after she arrives one of the men at the villa suffers a coronary and returns to the mainland with the painter’s son. The painter goes on a walk on the beach with Jessica and explains he saw a shadow of someone that tried to kill him with the vase. He asks Jessica to help look into who tried to kill him, as it must have been one of his guests. Jessica finds some cigarette butts and matches near where the vase fell from. An investigator is one of the guests and he noticed the vase was chiseled off. The clues lead to it seeming to have been a lefty, which is only the man that had a coronary and returned to the mainland. It turns out that man was also buying up the painter’s paintings and might have wanted the painter dead to increase the value of the paintings. The painter is shot and killed with a bow and arrow. The son is found to have snuck back to the island to steal some of his father’s paintings, which he says he wanted to use the money from to help his girlfriend who is in jail. A fire breaks out in the painter’s studio while his wife is in there. The sculptor that lived on the island disappears with his raft, which makes him a suspect, but it is revealed he is a defector from Bulgaria with a death warrant out on him. Thus he left not because he was guilty, but because he did not want his real identity to come out in a police investigation of the painter’s murder. Jessica realizes the murderer was Sir John, who arrived with Jessica, and the man with a coronary was the one that made the vase attempt on the painter’s life.

“We’re Off to Kill the Wizard” - Jessica is invited to the opening of a new Horatio’s House of Horrors theme park. Horatio wants to do a theme park based on her murder mysteries, but she does not agree to it mainly because he caters to children. Later that day a shot is heard in Horatio’s office and it is locked from the inside when security arrives. He is found dead and it is assumed to be suicide at first, but the police discover he was killed by a hit to the head and the gun shot wound came after wards. When Jessica goes to the airport to go to Kansas City for the day for some publicity stop, she is sort of kidnapped/forced to go to a private jet. There she meets Horatio’s wife. It turns out that she wants Jessica to help prove it was a murder and not suicide, so the wife can claim the insurance policy. Jessica talks to the secretary and she had a fihgt over a blackmailing that leads her to think there are blackmail files hidden in his office. They find the hidden spot in his desk, but the files are gone. Horatio’s PI is found dead possibly jumping to his death or being pushed to his death (this is obvious to the viewer as we see it happen). She finds out that it is a man that worked for Horatio and did not get the VP position he was promised and the illusion of him not being in the room when he actually was.

“Death Takes a Curtain Call” - Jessica goes to a Russian ballet in Boston. After the performance the theater is closed down because two of the performers have escaped. Her date, Leo, rushes Jessica away as he is helping the two escape from returning to Russia. In the car they hear that a KGB officer was found dead in their dressing room. Jessica agrees to allow the delay of their surrender to the police for questioning and she returns to the theater to get involved in the investigation. The anti-Communist woman that wanted the ballet to stop because it brought Commies into the United States is arrested for the murder because of a fiber found on the KGB’s watch and the KGB’s officer’s skin is found under her nails. Jessica goes back to Cabot Cove even though she knows the woman is not the actual murderer. The Boston police come to her house to search for the two Russian actors, who actually had been staying with her. They do not find the Russians and they are suspects again. Leo then confesses to killing the KGB officer and is arrested even though they all think it is a false confession. Jessica realizes that another ballerina, Irena, was missing from the curtain call. Irena is in love with the male performer that escaped and killed the KGB officer to prevent him from being lost by having him be a wanted man for murder.

“Death Casts a Spell” - Jessica is set up to meet with a supposedly famous hypnotist. She is reluctant to get involved in the hoax of hypnotism. Her publisher’s assistant convinces her to come to a special press conference when he hypnotizes everyone. They arrive late and they hear a sound inside the hotel room. The hypnotist is then found dead with six eyewitnesses, but they do not know what happened because they were at least supposedly hypnotized. Jessica is convinced that hypnosis is real when another psychologist puts her under. Jessica talks to a press member that skipped to hypnosis session and then finds the police are demonstrating a person rappelling down to the balcony of the hotel room. Jessica witnesses a pay off. The police bring in another hypnotist to hypnotize one of the press members again to break the memory block and get eyewitness testimony of what happened. It turns out that he is the murderer and the second hypnotist to trick him to saying what he saw was just a blackjack dealer.

“Capitol Offense” - Maine’s congressman dies while in office and Jessica is asked to fill in for six weeks until the election for the office occurs. Jessica finds out that the congressman died elsewhere than were he was found (his home). Another congressman ends up arrested on suspicion of killing a woman, who took a picture of that congressman moving the body of the Maine one, who they still think died of natural causes. The key to the case is that the man beat the woman, who was blackmailing congressmen, used driving gloves that Jessica saw him with before, but not again with afterwards.

“Hooray for Homicide” - Jessica receives a call from a friend to tell her about them talking about her movie on television. She turns it on and finds a movie producer talking about turning her book into a movie, but describing the movie as very different than the book’s plot. She ends up going to Hollywood/LA to confront the producer to stop debasing her novel. A writer complains to the director for cutting any lines that require any acting so the director’s girl can perform the part with her lack of acting skill. It turns out the directory only bought it for the title and not to actually do the movie based on her book directly. She later finds she out she did sign away her right to meddle with the movie and she goes back to try and find him to apologize for interfering. She finds him dead in the graveyard set. Security thinks Jessica is the killer. The police do not seem to suspect her at all when they arrive, though. Jessica goes to see the producer’s girlfriend at his beach house to tell her that he was murdered, but first she has to sober the girl up. The police officer comes to see Jessica because the Captain thinks Jessica had the motive and opportunity to kill the producer, but the officer does not think she did it, so she just must remain in town. The police officer sort of arrests her after her words are turned against her. She is not actually booked and the police officer gives her a chance to not only clear her name, but find the actual killer. Jessica finds out about a drum major costume being taken from the costume was last borrowed by the girlfriend of the dead producer. When she goes to the girls trailer she finds the director hiding in there and the police end up finding the missing button in his pocket. He is arrested as the murderer. Jessica realizes he is also wrongly accused, though. She realizes the girlfriend killed the producer because she was having an affair with the co-star and the producer wanted to replace him with another actor.

“It’s a Dog’s Life” - Jessica is at a hunting lodge with her cousin in this episode. While on a fox hunting horse ride a man dies when he falls off a runaway horse. It seems something was wrong with the horse and they suspect foul play, but the authorities are not convinced. The man ends up giving everything to his dog and the children will be entirely cut out if the will if the dog dies of anything except natural causes. A man says the dog attacked his arm and wants the dog put down. The dog is released without being put down. The lawyer now has to defend the dog against the man who was attacked as well as the son trying to break the will by challenging the dog as being of sound mind to receive the money. One of the daughters is killed when the gate closes on her body and the only living person known to be in the security room at the time was the dog. Jessica thinks that the dog was trained to press the button. She suspects he was trained to do it when he hears a whistle and a whistle with Jessica’s cousin’s initials was found by the police on the grounds. Jessica realizes the lawyer tricked the daughter that was killed to drug the horse to kill her father thinking she would have an inheritance and then later the lawyer killed Trish framing the dog because he needed the income that would come from defending the dog.

“Lovers and Other Killers” - Jessica’s friend Edmund picks Jessica up at the airport on a trip that she is going to give a lecture at the university Edmund works at. Jessica hires a male secretary to help her during the trip. The evening of the lecture she goes out to dinner with the secretary. After dinner a detective picks him up for questioning in a home invasion murder a few nights before. Jessica gets a call from a woman telling her to meet the woman later that night because she has info to clear the secretary of the murder charge. When she goes to meet the woman she witnesses the woman dying. The woman was the secretary’s alibi as the two were going out that night. The secretary believes the husband killed his girlfriend, as she was having an affair with the secretary. In an other meeting with a tip Jessica is pushed down some stairs. It turns out that Edmund was going out with the first woman that was murdered and his secretary killed her because she was in love with Edmund.

“Hit, Run and Homicide” - It is time for the Cabot Cove Founder’s Day Picnic in this episode. A man is chased by a car with no apparent driver at the picnic. The sheriff does not believe that the car had no driver since he did not see it himself. The man was an out of towner and when his business partner comes to see him in the hospital he is run down by the same car. It turns out the inventor man, Daniel, in town built a remote control car a dozen years ago and is the same man that the two business men thought they were coming to Cabot Cove to meet, but Daniel says he did not invite them. The sheriff is unable to locate the phantom car. Jessica takes a bike ride to search the woods and ends up finding the car. She checks it out including getting into it and suddenly someone activates it locking her in and beginning to drive it down the road wildly with the person controlling it in a van behind her. They stop it right at the edge of a cliff. The Sheriff begins to suspect Daniel as the car is of his design. Jessica has the sheriff help set up a reenactment of the day of the picnic with someone else using a remote control to make it seem like the car is going to hit the same man as the first time. The woman, Leslie, rushes to a van to stop it, but it was a set up to make her give herself up as the murderer.
