March 17, 2009 TV on DVD Releases: Animated
Here is this week’s edition for TV on DVD Releases in the animated category.
Bakugan Volume 3: Good Versus Evil - Like many releases of kids/teens shows, especially the animated ones, this release only has four episodes on it with a run time of 89 minutes.
Bob the Builder: On Site Skyscrapers - This release is a special DVD only release of Bob the Builder and has not been shown on television before the DVD release. This is a mix of live and animated action in an episode about building skyscrapers.
Bunnytown: Hello Bunnies - This release has a run time of 96 minutes, so probably 4 episodes of the show. It sounds like the episodes might include one with Pirate Bunnies and one with a Space Bunny.
Dragon Tales: Our Amazing Pets! - I think this release contains 3 episodes of the show.
A Pup Named Scooby-Doo: Complete 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Seasons - This release may sound like a lot, but really these complete three seasons only come out to being 17 episodes on a two disc set. It does also include a bonus episode from the Shaggy & Scooby Doo Get a Clue! series, which is the “Party Arty” episode. Also, it is priced pretty good considering it has 18 episodes vs. the many other kids releases that are also $20 (currently this one is $14.99 on sale on Amazon, though) and only have four episodes.

The Spectacular Spider-Man Volume 2 - This release only contains 3 episodes. It contains episodes 4, 5, and 6 of the series.
The Spectacular Spider-Man Volume 3 - Okay, I get the whole releasing seasons in several volumes to try to get more money, but really I dislike them unless they put out some good special features. This is the worst, though, with them releasing two volumes on the same day. At least stagger them out and it does not seem as much of a rip off. Anyways this volume has episodes 7, 8, and 9 of the series.
The Zeta Project: Season 1 - This release contains the 12 episodes from season 1 of the show. The special features include a “Making of Zeta” featurette about how the character and series evolved and 2 bonus Batman Beyond episodes that featured Zeta.
