Summer is the Perfect Time for TV on DVD

by

I hate summer hiatus. I always feel lost without my shows. This is the reason I have come to love DVDs so much. Instead of wasting my time on horrendous reality shows, I can fill the void with all my old favorites and even catch up on shows I didn’t get a chance to watch.

They’re perfect for those who don’t have HBO or Showtime but always wanted to watch The Sopranos or Queer as Folk. They’re great for people without TiVo who never get to watch LOST or The Office because of their schedule. They’re also great for rewatching all of your old favorites from years gone by like I Dream of Jeannie or Dallas

Most sets are loaded with special features and commentary that make watching the DVD even better than the first run show. I especially love the ones that feature blooper reels or deleted scenes. Some, like Grey’s Anatomy, even have extended episodes.

Another great thing about DVDs - it’s your shows on your schedule. Watch an episode per night or sit down and have a 24 hour marathon. It’s all up to you. And it’s all commercial-free.  Who could ask for more?!

So rent or buy that show you’ve always wanted to see or one of your old faves and enjoy the rest of the summer. We’ve still got a good 2 months before most of our favorites return!
