Weekend Box Office Winners

Yes, I know I forgot to give you my predictions but I won’t forget this week. So here is the list from this past weekend. It shouldn’t shock you that Dr. Seuss’ “Horton Hears a Who” is still in the theaters and still making the top 10 list, actually this week they made #6 so it is slowly going off the list. Horton has already made over $125,000 in theaters and the DVD sales are yet to come.

1 Prom Night- This is one I defnitely want to see. Imagine going to a prom knowing a big dark secret and a serial killer telling you he wasn’t done with you yet. Donna’s prom night is anything but fun when a pyscho from her past is out of prison and makes her and her friends the target of his obsession.

2 Street Kings- Tom Ludlow has already lost his wife and now he’s going up against the entire police force, they were once brothers in arms but now they think he has executed a member of their own. Life will be anything but smooth.

3 21- You already know about this one, they are a hot young group that wants to take over Vegas. The one problem is Vegas doesn’t want them in their casinos because they’ve figured out how to win.

4 Nim’s Island- A little girl’s imagination has created an island and now her father is missing and only one person can help and together they must overcome their fears.

5 Leatherheads- It’s the sporting movie of the season when this 1920’s football team brings you to the theater to watch a team go broke and makes a comeback and wins the season.

Finally Dr.Suess’ Horton Hears a Who came in 6th place rolling in $6 million for the weekend. Smart People, The Ruins, SuperHero Movie and Drillbit Taylor.
